Helios Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representatives: Kyohei Yashima / Kenichi Sasaki; hereinafter "Helios"), a company engaged in remote sensing data analysis and the construction of "Earth Intelligence Infrastructure," will begin offering the open beta version of "Helios Platform," a platform that autonomously integrates and analyzes diverse geospatial data through natural language instructions, on June 〇, 2026 (〇).

Helios Platform Screen Image

This platform is equipped with the latest LLM (Large Language Model) agents and aims to solve the problem of a "shortage of GIS (Geographic Information System) specialists," which is becoming increasingly severe while demand is rapidly increasing, particularly for disaster response. Users, even without specialized knowledge, can intuitively perform everything from linking complex data to advanced spatial analysis, as if they were brainstorming with a dedicated analyst via chat.

During the period until the official release scheduled for late July to early August, all advanced features can be experienced completely free of charge, with no credit card registration required.

Background of Development: Data Silos and the "Analysis Wall"

In recent years, rapid situational awareness has been demanded in response to increasingly severe disasters due to climate change and the aging of infrastructure. While data itself is exploding due to the development of LLMs and the diversification of sensors, many sites are unable to cross-link this data and perform practical analysis. There is a shortage of specialized engineers in the GIS field, and supply is not keeping up with demand. Helios developed this platform believing that by automating this process using LLMs and extracting new insights that were not visible with single data sources, greater value could be created.

Features and New Functions of the Open Beta Version

Based on feedback from the closed beta version (approximately 10 companies, 30 participants) conducted prior, significant functional expansions and UI/UX improvements have been made.

Automated Analysis and "Brainstorming" Experience with LLM Agents

Simply issue instructions in natural language via the chat UI located on the right side of the screen, and the AI will autonomously execute the analysis. Specialized brainstorming (consultation) regarding the direction of analysis is possible, and a function to clearly summarize the content of ongoing sessions has also been integrated.

Integration of Diverse Data and Improved Expressiveness

Detailed terrain information can now be confirmed through overlay display of buildings using Overture Maps API and the addition of DEM (Digital Elevation Model) tile services. The symbology (style) can also be flexibly changed according to the user's application.

UI Supporting Intuitive Operation and Trial & Error

Basic GIS tools such as clip, buffer, and zonal statistics have been implemented. Intuitive range specification using bounding boxes (rectangles) and circles is possible, and a "cancel button" to prevent erroneous operations has been added, realizing stress-free operability.

Specific Analysis and Application Examples

By integrating diverse data, specialized analyses such as the following can be intuitively performed. *The following images are development-in-progress images.

Image of river cross-section display screen

Infrastructure Management & Disaster Prevention (Display of River Cross-Sections)

Quickly visualize cross-sectional profiles of ground elevation and water levels in target areas (e.g., the Obitsu River basin). Cross-sections between points can be instantly generated with an intuitive UI and used as basic data for river management and flood simulation.

Image of wildlife damage countermeasures proposal

Environment & Wildlife Damage Countermeasures (Estimation of Wildlife Routes and Countermeasure Proposals)

Visualize the movement routes of wild boars, monkeys, and other animals on a map. Furthermore, by consulting with the AI on countermeasures on the screen, specific actions and simulation proposals such as "joint logging of unmanaged fruit trees" and "installation of net-type electric fences" can be immediately received.

Image of people flow analysis around Sumida Ward

Urban Planning & Marketing (People Flow Analysis Using LLM)

Achieve dynamic simulations by time of day, such as visualizing the daily traffic volume of bicycles in specific areas (e.g., Sumida Ward, around Hikifune Station). Supports highly accurate analysis by integrating conditions such as population per mesh and building volume.

Offering of Open Beta Version [Completely Free]

Target Audience: Anyone, regardless of whether they are an individual or a corporation.

Usage Fee: Free (※ No credit card registration is required at all)

Period: From today until the official release (scheduled for late July to early August 2026).

Registration Method: You can use it immediately from the following URL. [https://www.helios-rs.com/helios-beta-lp]

*After the official release, users will transition to "free users," and some functions are planned to have restrictions. This period is the only time you can try all advanced features for free.

Recruitment of Demonstration Experiments (PoC) and Collaboration Partners

Helios is seeking partner companies and local governments to solve social issues together through this platform. We welcome inquiries from construction consultants, infrastructure operators, and disaster prevention/urban planning personnel in local governments who wish to "integrate with their own data" or "try new analysis approaches." Comments from Representatives

Kyohei Yashima, Representative Director COO

We are pleased to announce the release of Helios's open beta version. In this update, we have implemented foundational functions such as Agentic workflow, where AI not only waits for instructions but also thinks for itself to assemble and execute optimal work procedures. As a result, the scope of what our users "can do" has dramatically and explosively expanded compared to the previous version. In today's world, filled with "silent crises" that surpass the speed of traditional decision-making, such as climate change and geopolitical risks, Helios aims to realize "Earth Intelligence Infrastructure" that allows anyone to grasp and respond to changes on Earth without specialized knowledge. We are already excited to see what new actions and challenges will emerge from everyone who experiences the new Helios. Please try it out and share your frank opinions and ideas.

Kenichi Sasaki, Director CEO

The ideal of "breaking down the walls of analysis" for remote sensing data has finally taken concrete shape with this open beta version. As a first step, we have realized an environment where fundamental GIS (Geographic Information System) analysis operates smoothly on the platform. The foundation is now in place to implement advanced research-level technology into society as a tool that anyone can use without specialized knowledge. Furthermore, the biggest highlight of this release is the incorporation of an agent function that supports extremely advanced Long Horizon in the industry. This allows AI not only to respond to single instructions but also to autonomously assemble and continue executing complex, long-term analysis processes. We feel a great sense of accomplishment in being able to deliver this technological breakthrough, which expands the thinking of engineers and researchers and truly liberates the inherent value of data, from the front lines.
