Daido University (Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture) has decided to implement 'Career.base', an on-campus career support portal site developed and operated by haco. Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka / Representative: Mitsuru Wada), with the aim of "DX transformation of job placement support."

What is a "Career Portfolio"?
It systematically records and organizes an individual's past experiences, skills, learning, achievements, and future goals, primarily used for self-analysis, career development, and job hunting activities. Beyond resumes and work history, it is a tool that visualizes one's strengths and market value, supporting the formation of proactive career perspectives, and is starting to attract attention from national and educational institutions.

1. Background of 'Career.base' Implementation

Fatigue and Increased Costs Due to "Paper" Operations
Daido University holds on-campus joint company information sessions more than ten times a year, with over 120 companies participating per event (morning/afternoon combined).
Previously, preparations such as:
- [For Companies] Recruitment, lottery, contact with selected companies, and collection of company overviews from participating companies.
- [For Students] Creation of distribution booklets and posters (creation of venue maps, company overview pages).
- [For Campus] Venue layout creation and on-the-day operation.
were all handled by staff themselves. In particular, collecting company information from participating companies and creating venue maps for student booklets posed challenges, as printing could not proceed until all information was complete, leading to significant labor, time, and cost.

Staff members being tied up with joint company information session preparations meant that time for student support was cut, necessitating a solution to this problem.

Breaking Away from "Paper" and Enhancing the Value of On-Campus Events (Joint Company Information Sessions)
With the cooperation of companies, the booklets distributed on the day, which are created with considerable effort within the university, contain venue maps and outlines of participating companies, making them essential information for students.
However, there were challenges concerning the "quantity," "storability," and "searchability" of information, such as:
- Only a summary of company information could be published due to being on paper.
- Students do not necessarily save all event booklets they attend.
- Even if all booklets were saved, it would be difficult to find out which company exhibited when.

It was believed that if sufficient information could be provided for students to proactively research companies they found interesting at on-campus events, and if that information could be organized and saved, the value of on-campus events would increase for both students and companies.

2. About the Newly Developed 'Campus Event Management' Function

To resolve the aforementioned issues, haco. proceeded with discussions with Daido University and developed the "Campus Event Management" function within 'Career.base'. This function allows for announcements of on-campus events, reservation forms, disclosure of venue maps, viewing detailed information of participating companies, and clipping (bookmarking).

This is a standard function that can be utilized by all universities using 'Career.base'.

Ability to Create and Display On-Campus Event Announcement Screens on the Student Screen
The top page of the student screen displays a list of announcements from the school to students.
Clicking the title on the list screen allows students to confirm detailed content, enabling event announcements and redirection to event detail pages.

Tap Company Names on the Venue MAP to View Detailed Company Information!
The event screen allows students to view both annually scheduled events and completed events in a list.

Universities can freely create themes, titles, and detailed screens for on-campus events.

It is possible to set up a venue map for each event, a list of participating companies, and a reservation form (external links acceptable).

Since the company detail page can contain information comparable to traditional job information sites (company information, career event information, recruitment information, etc.), it will be possible to provide a dramatically increased amount of information to students compared to booklets.

Ability to Bookmark (Clip) Interested Companies and Create Lists!
Clip buttons are provided throughout the system, including on the company screen, event detail screen, career event information, and recruitment information. Students can list information of interest by company unit and information type.

Furthermore, even if a student forgets to clip, a function is included to search for companies from past events, allowing them to find "that company around here on that day." The design prioritizes student insights.

By enhancing the campus event management function, the aim is to resolve on-site issues for students and elevate the value of on-campus events by one rank.
