No. 1 in Gunma Again! 'Bakuju Gyoza' Wins Second Consecutive Title at the 2nd Gunma Gyoza Grand Prix

Bakuju Gyoza, manufactured and sold by GYO-TEN Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ota City, Gunma Prefecture; Representative Director: Ryudo Hinohara), has won the Grand Prix at the 2nd Gunma Gyoza Grand Prix. This award was decided by visitor voting among six representative companies from Gunma Prefecture at the 4th Yamba Furusato-kan Gyoza Festival held on April 25, 2026. Approximately 6,000 people visited the event that day. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who chose Bakuju Gyoza from among many competitors.

At the event, there were various performances including a LIVE & talk show by Ms. Chiharu Tamaki, known as a 'Gyoza Girl' through numerous TV appearances, a 'Gyoza Frying Workshop' by Mr. Tsutomu Onodera from the Pan-fried Gyoza Association, and LIVE performances by four groups of artists. Ms. Rina Kato, a freelance announcer and former FM GUNMA announcer, served as the general MC and livened up the entire event.

Bakuju Gyoza, which won the Grand Prix, is characterized by its overwhelming volume, overflowing meat juice, and spreading umami. It uses carefully selected domestic cabbage and pork, finished with an exquisite blend created over many years to bring out the original umami of the ingredients. Since its founding, we have been committed to hand-wrapping, valuing not only the taste but also the appearance, and each piece is carefully made by craftsmen with care.

Currently, there are two specialized gyoza stores, 'Bakuju Gyoza GYO-TEN,' in Ota City and Omama, Midori City, both in Gunma Prefecture. Frozen gyoza are also sold at 74 locations, mainly in the Kanto region, including convenience stores and food select shops. In addition, nationwide shipping is available through our own online shop. Bakuju Gyoza has been featured in numerous media such as television and magazines, and is loved by many customers not only for in-store dining and takeout but also as a gift for loved ones and friends.

The Gunma Gyoza Grand Prix is a new initiative that started from the popular '3rd Gyoza Festival' held at Michi-no-Eki Yamba Furusato-kan. It is a project to determine Gunma's 'No. 1 Gyoza' based on the votes of visitors.
