SOMPO Risk Management and GRCS Begin Collaboration in ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) Field

SOMPO Risk Management Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Takahisa Nakamura, hereinafter "SOMPO Risk") and GRCS Inc. (President and CEO: Jikatsu Sasaki, hereinafter "GRCS") are pleased to announce that they have entered into an introduction agreement concerning GRCS's enterprise risk management tool "Enterprise Risk MT (ERMT)" and have commenced a strategic collaboration.

This collaboration will establish a system that provides SOMPO Risk's specialized "Risk Management System Construction Consulting" and GRCS's "DX tool for data centralization and visualization" in a one-stop service. We will comprehensively support Japanese companies facing complex management risks, from the construction of highly effective risk management systems to their establishment.

As the first initiative of this collaboration, both companies will hold a joint webinar on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, to explain the key points for building and establishing effective ERM systems.

1. Background and Objectives of Collaboration

In recent years, the uncertainty in the business environment surrounding companies has been increasing due to factors such as geopolitical risks, supply chain disruptions, economic security, and the need to respond to ESG management. On the other hand, many companies are facing challenges such as "risk information being scattered across departments and not centrally managed," "being overwhelmed by data aggregation and analysis tasks, leaving insufficient time for risk response and system development," and "risk management systems that have been built are becoming mere formalities."

In response to these challenges, both companies have determined that the integration of expert knowledge and efficiency through DX is essential. The collaboration was initiated with the aim of moving away from manual management and transforming risks from mere "defense (costs)" into a source of "value creation (investment)" linked to management strategy.

By combining the strengths of SOMPO Risk, which provides risk management consulting, and GRCS, which possesses a top-class ERM tool in Japan, we will offer a one-stop service from requirements definition through consulting to tool implementation and support for operational establishment. Through this collaboration, we will pool the knowledge and technology of both companies to contribute to the advancement of ERM for Japanese companies and, consequently, to their sustainable growth.

2. Joint Webinar Implementation

As the first initiative of this collaboration, we will hold a webinar (free of charge) targeting management and risk management practitioners. This webinar will explain concrete methods for building and establishing risk management systems that contribute to management strategy and prevent ERM from becoming a mere formality, with case examples.
