New Service Launch: Gachaco Now Available Nationwide with the Introduction of the 'Basic Plan'!

On July 1, 2026, Gachaco Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Masahide Hirose) announced the launch of its new nationwide service, the 'Basic Plan,' available to customers across Japan.

Previously, Gachaco operated battery swap stations in Tokyo, Saitama, and Osaka, offering sharing services in those surrounding areas. With the launch of the nationwide 'Basic Plan,' customers in regions without physical stations can now access Gachaco's services.

About the Basic Plan

The Basic Plan is a monthly rental service for Honda Mobile Power Pack e: (MPP) batteries and dedicated chargers. By eliminating the need to purchase batteries or chargers, customers can significantly reduce initial costs when adopting EV motorcycles.

Service Features

▶ Zero Initial Cost

Gachaco covers shipping fees at contract initiation, enabling customers to start using the service without major upfront expenses.

▶ Nationwide Availability

The service is available anywhere in Japan, regardless of the presence of physical swap stations.

▶ No Battery Purchase Required

Customers can use only the number of batteries and chargers they need without purchasing high-cost equipment.

▶ Reliable Support

In the event of malfunctions with batteries or chargers, Gachaco will promptly replace or repair them.

Monthly Fees

Battery: ¥2,530 (tax included) per unit

Charger: ¥1,430 (tax included) per unit

※ No station usage fees apply.

Refresh Exchange Service

For customers who desire it, Gachaco offers a 'Refresh Exchange Service' that replaces loaned batteries with units in relatively good condition, with a State of Health (SOH) of 95% or higher. This ensures greater peace of mind when using EV motorcycles.

Exchange Fee: ¥10,000 (tax included) per battery (shipping included)

Available upon customer request at their preferred timing.

*SOH stands for State of Health, an indicator of battery health and degradation. It represents the percentage of full charge capacity (Ah) at a given time compared to the initial full charge capacity (Ah) set at 100%.

Service Launch Campaign

To commemorate the launch of the Basic Plan, Gachaco is running a limited-time campaign.

First 150 applicants: 3 months of free charger usage
