Mitsuhashi-kun Responding to Interview

-Congratulations again on the decision to release your photobook.

Mitsuhashi-kun

>Thank you.

-As it's your first photobook, could you tell us the highlights first?

Mitsuhashi-kun

>For this work, I dared to challenge myself with genuinely 'as-is' photos, without any 'digital enhancement,' or 'retouching,' which has become commonplace nowadays.

-That's amazing! What was the intention behind this?

Mitsuhashi-kun

>Hearing 'unretouched' alone might not sound like a big deal, but until now, gravure shoots had a sense of security, thinking 'I'll erase it anyway.' However, shooting with the premise of no processing whatsoever brought a completely different tension, allowing me to pay even more attention to expressions and poses.

-What kind of work is it?

Mitsuhashi-kun

Mitsuhashi-kun

>I don't know if I should say this, but naturally occurring wrinkles, bruises, and things to hide 'that thing' (laughs) are visible, but the work itself is very stylish and cutely shot. The costumes and makeup are also different from before, yet they properly show what needs to be shown, creating a good balance.

-When and where did you shoot it?

Mitsuhashi-kun

>I shot it in Guam last December. The sea and sunset were beautiful, and honestly, it was a few days where I wished I didn't have to go home for a while.

-Are there any particular reasons why you insisted on 'unretouched' this time?

Mitsuhashi-kun

>A first photobook is literally one of a kind in this world. I wanted it to be 'as-is' so that everyone could enjoy it, and so that if I ever have children, or my parents, or grandchildren, they could proudly continue to look at it. Also, AI technology is amazing these days, and in an age where lies are being recognized as truth, I thought at some point people might not be needed anymore, and that only unlimited truth can counter lies. It might sound exaggerated (laughs).

-Do you have any anecdotes from the shoot?

Mitsuhashi-kun

>Well, if I had to pick one, it would be that my manager couldn't come due to a high fever right before (laughs).

Mitsuhashi-kun

>Anyway, I want more people to know about me! I've worked hard academically, but I want to broaden my scope and challenge myself with various gravure and talent activities!

-Mitsuhashi-kun, please tell us about your future goals.

Mitsuhashi-kun

>I will continue to work hard as a pharmacist, but I also want to broaden my range and challenge myself with gravure and variety show talent activities!
