株式会社fundbook (fundbook Inc.) (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kazuhisa Watanabe; hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which provides M&A brokerage services, is pleased to announce that Akira Yokoyama, General Manager of the Healthcare Business Strategy Department at the Company, will be a speaker at the "Options Beyond Business Succession" seminar, commemorating the signing of an agreement between the Company and the UNHCR Association of Japan (hereinafter referred to as "UNHCR Association"), to be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
Currently, over 110 million people worldwide are displaced from their homes, and the need for support continues to grow. Meanwhile, creating sustainable support mechanisms remains a significant challenge. This seminar, commemorating the start of our matching donation partnership with the UNHCR Association*, aims to explore the role of future business owners by integrating "business succession" with "giving back to society," targeting executives interested in business succession and M&A. On the day of the event, in addition to an introduction to the UNHCR Association's activities, Akira Yokoyama, General Manager of the Healthcare Business Strategy Department at the Company, will give a lecture from the perspective of business succession and M&A. Furthermore, a keynote speech will be delivered by a business owner who has experienced business succession and is also engaged in social contribution activities, followed by a multifaceted discussion involving all three parties. This will be an opportunity to confront the question: "How do we pass on our business to the next generation?" and simultaneously, "What do we leave behind for society beyond that?"
