Freeandopen Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yoshinari Kaneko, hereinafter "Freeandopen") is participating in the core system and EC system renewal project promoted by Nissen Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minami-ku, Kyoto; President and CEO: Jun Habuchi, hereinafter "Nissen"), and is responsible for the design and development of peripheral business systems that handle product information management, ordering/receiving management, and data integration platforms.

In collaboration with Stack Inc., which provides the commerce operation platform "SQ," we are supporting the construction of a system infrastructure that comprehensively manages a wide range of business areas.

[Background]

Nissen is advancing the renewal of its core system and EC system with the aim of strengthening its business foundation and promoting DX.

In large-scale system renewals, not only new core systems and EC platforms but also the development of peripheral business systems for product information management, ordering/receiving management, and data integration, which link with them, are important themes.

In particular, Nissen required a mechanism to support complex operations, such as managing a large volume of product information, managing numerous business partners, and integrating with multiple channels.

Freeandopen is participating in this project, recognized for its expertise cultivated in system development for the apparel and retail industries, and its agile development capabilities that can flexibly respond to changing requirements.

[Freeandopen's Scope of Work at Nissen]

In this project, Freeandopen is responsible for the design and development of peripheral business systems that link with the core system and EC system. We are building a suite of systems that support essential business areas for operations, such as product information, procurement operations, and various data integrations, thereby supporting both system renewal and on-site operations.

Product Information Management System (PIM)

We are building a product information management system to centrally manage a large volume of product information. This supports the efficiency and quality improvement of information organization and operation.

It also streamlines product information registration for multi-EC mall and multi-store operations, reducing operational load.

Ordering and Receiving Management System

We are building an ordering and receiving management system for numerous business partners. This supports the efficiency of procurement operations, including data integration with suppliers.

Product-Related Common Master Management Platform (MDM)

This centrally manages information such as products, business partners, logistics, and organizational data, functioning as a data hub to support data integration between the core system, EC system, and various business systems.

System to Support Continuation of Operations During Transition Period

We are building a system to centrally manage business flows to minimize the burden on on-site staff during the parallel operation period of new and old systems, supporting a smooth system transition.

Data Integration with Various Systems

We are building a data integration platform with EC malls and the core system to promote information centralization and operational automation. Furthermore, we are swiftly responding to additional requirements and operational changes that arise as the project progresses, leveraging the characteristics of agile development to support the smooth progress of the entire project.
