White House Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Representative Director: Fumio Kimura, hereinafter "White House") and DXTRL Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya City, Tokyo, Representative Director CEO: Shunsuke Sakuma, hereinafter "DXTRL") will launch "Lymo," a new mobility service utilizing test drive and loaner cars owned by the White House Group, on July 2, 2026.
Through this initiative, customers at White House Group dealerships will be able to enjoy a new mobility experience, utilizing a diverse range of vehicles, including imported cars, when needed.
Background
While Japan has approximately 60 million registered vehicles, many are unused for the majority of the time. Similarly, test drive and loaner cars held by automobile dealerships also experience periods of inactivity.
Meanwhile, consumer values are shifting from "ownership" to "usage," with increasing needs such as wanting to test drive a car for an extended period before purchase, wanting to use a larger vehicle only for family trips, or wanting to experience different car models.
Based on these societal trends, both companies aim to effectively utilize the vehicle assets held by dealerships and create new customer experiences.
