This service supports everything from Carbon Footprint of Products (CFP) calculation to visualizing and communicating environmental value using CE Passports.

The service assists in calculating greenhouse gas emissions by setting the scope of calculation according to the characteristics of products and services, the purpose of calculation, and available data. Furthermore, it supports the visualization and communication of environmental information, looking ahead to Digital Product Passports (DPP) by leveraging our "CE Passport" to organize calculation results and initiatives related to resource circulation.

As a related support achievement, our company was commissioned by Saitama Prefecture for the "Outsourcing Services for Carbon Footprint Calculation Support for Circular Economy Products, etc., in Saitama Prefecture." We provided CFP calculation support and environmental information disclosure support utilizing CE Passports to six businesses within the prefecture.

Background: Entering an Era Where Environmental Value Needs to Be "Visualized"

In recent years, with growing interest in decarbonization and the circular economy, companies are increasingly required to understand and clearly disclose the environmental impact of their products and services. Particularly for circular economy products that utilize recycled materials and engage in resource circulation, appropriately demonstrating the environmental value of the product leads to understanding and selection by business partners and consumers.

However, CFP calculation requires setting the scope according to the calculation objective for each process, such as raw material procurement, manufacturing, transportation, use, and disposal/recycling, and collecting and organizing the necessary data. Moreover, specialized knowledge is required for setting calculation conditions and selecting emission factors.

Furthermore, simply presenting the calculated CFP value as a mere number fails to adequately convey the ingenuity put into the product, the contribution to resource circulation, and the company's intentions.

The "CFP Calculation & Environmental Value Visualization Service" addresses these challenges by providing end-to-end support, from CFP calculation assistance to organizing environmental value and disclosing/communicating information using CE Passports, thereby helping companies clearly communicate the environmental value of their products.

Furthermore, we carefully organize the product story and the company's intentions behind the numbers, and visualize them in a way that conveys environmental value using our "CE Passport."

CFP calculation results and product environmental information are made available for viewing on smartphones and other devices using our "CE Passport."
