Osaka Prefecture Announces Official Support for WebX2026

Together with Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture established the Global Financial City OSAKA Promotion Committee, comprising government agencies, economic organizations, and various institutions. In March 2022, the committee formulated the "Global Financial City OSAKA Strategy," aiming to strengthen financial functions—often referred to as the "lifeblood of the economy"—and establish a unique international financial city to drive the growth and development of the Osaka-Kansai economy.

From 2026 to 2030, designated as the second phase of the initiative, Osaka will build upon the achievements of the first phase, leveraging Expo legacies—such as real-world testing of advanced technologies, international exchanges, and financial service demonstrations—and advancing digital finance to deepen collaborative efforts across the entire region.
