Buzzreach and Taimei Intelligence Form Strategic Partnership to Expand Japan's Attraction of Cross-Border International Clinical Trials and Build a Clinical Trial Promotion Infrastructure

Buzzreach Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, CEO: Takaki Inokawa, hereinafter "Buzzreach"), a company specializing in clinical trial and research support, and Taimei Intelligence Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shanghai, Co-founder & COO: Zibao Zhang, hereinafter "Taimei") have announced a strategic partnership. Through this collaboration, the two companies will provide comprehensive solutions for multi-regional clinical trials (MRCTs) between Japan and China, accelerating new drug development for global pharmaceutical and biotech startups.

At the core of this initiative is the establishment of a system to identify suitable patients faster, increase case accrual with fewer trial sites, and enroll patients into clinical trials earlier. Taimei’s subsidiary, Shengxin Medical, will leverage its AI platform "Trialnet," utilizing over 400,000 patient records and a nationwide clinical network across China to enable highly accurate and rapid patient enrollment.

Meanwhile, Buzzreach specializes in patient recruitment and clinical trial digital transformation (DX) support in Japan, utilizing region-specific partner medical institutions. Based on its proprietary patient platform and partner medical network, Buzzreach offers end-to-end services—from disseminating clinical trial information to medical institutions and patients across regions, to patient referrals and trial execution support.

Additionally, by adopting decentralized clinical trials (DCTs) and digital solutions, Buzzreach has enhanced the efficiency of traditional clinical trial processes and improved patient access, establishing a robust operational framework with extensive experience across Japan.

This partnership will integrate Buzzreach’s execution capabilities in Japan with Taimei’s data and technology infrastructure in China, creating a new operational foundation for cross-border international clinical trials and promoting Japan as a destination for clinical trials.

Through this partnership, the companies will deliver the following value to pharmaceutical companies, biotech startups, and medical device development ventures:

- Access to over 1,800 medical institutions across Japan and China

- Proposal and support for case accrual model systems in Japan

- Efficient patient identification and enrollment using patient data
