TOKYO, JAPAN – June 4, 2026 – Biomy, Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Teppei Konishi; hereinafter “Biomy”), a technology company focused on advancing personalized medicine through AI, today announced a partnership with 10x Genomics (NASDAQ: TXG), a leader in single cell and spatial biology, to develop AI-driven Virtual Cell foundation models powered by data generated using 10x’s Xenium platform.
Through the collaboration, Biomy plans to leverage 10x’s Xenium in situ platform to generate high-resolution spatial transcriptomics datasets for training foundation models designed to predict therapeutic response, support target discovery and enable biomarker identification. By combining spatial biology with advanced machine learning, the partnership aims to help researchers better understand tissue biology and accelerate the development of more precise therapeutic strategies.
Biomy will lead development of AI models and analytical workflows, while 10x will provide technical and scientific support to enable the effective use of its spatial technologies.
“Xenium provides the high-quality, spatially resolved data needed to train the next generation of AI models in biology,” said Teppei Konishi, CEO of Biomy, Inc. “By integrating Xenium data into our AI platform, we are working to build Virtual Cell foundation models that can help predict how patients may respond to treatment and discover new biomarkers and drug targets.”
“Xenium can generate in situ gene expression data at subcellular resolution, which is highly suitable for training advanced AI models,” said Di Mo, Vice President of Asia Pacific Sales at 10x Genomics. “We are excited to support Biomy as they apply these capabilities to develop Virtual Cell foundation models for therapeutic response prediction and biomarker discovery.”
