Weekend DJ Event "BACK YARD MUSIC SATURDAY" Launches at Yokohama VIVRE Rooftop BBQ Park "BACK YARD"!

BAKERU Inc., a venture company promoting social experiments that create spaces (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hajime Kobayashi), which operates the rooftop BBQ park BACK YARD -Brooklyn Park Yokohama- on the Yokohama VIVRE rooftop, will launch the weekly Saturday DJ event "BACK YARD MUSIC SATURDAY" from May 2026. This is in collaboration with AlphaTheta Corporation, which develops DJ equipment brands and operates the official DJ school "Yokohama DJ Lab," and G.K. T.S.T, which has produced numerous events based in Yokohama. This initiative aims to provide new opportunities for young DJs active in Yokohama and create chances for anyone to casually experience DJ culture and music.

"BACK YARD MUSIC SATURDAY" is an event where not only BBQ users but also anyone who wants to enjoy music can easily drop by. We have made it possible for anyone to participate with free admission (only 500 yen for one drink), making it an easy-to-access style. Even those who have "never been to a DJ event" or find "clubs a bit intimidating" can enjoy a new cultural experience where they can naturally enjoy music along with food and conversation in an open rooftop space. Even those who have not made BBQ reservations can freely visit, aiming to create a new cultural spot for weekends where people can casually drop by after shopping or work, contributing to the revitalization of the Yokohama Station West Exit area.

BACK YARD -Brooklyn Park Yokohama- is a rooftop park located on the Yokohama VIVRE rooftop. Centered on "art, music, and food," it offers a space to enjoy street culture rooted in the local area, hosting hands-free BBQ and music events. A major feature this year is providing an experience where visitors can enjoy DJ music for nine consecutive hours, from day to night, in an open location overlooking the Yokohama cityscape. BACK YARD, which has always supported local culture, has actively collaborated with artists and DJs to further energize the Yokohama music scene. This initiative is also part of a project aimed at "creating a place where new talents can shine."

AlphaTheta Corporation, with its mission of "connecting people through music," has been advocating that "DJing is a culture that anyone can easily enjoy" through the development and sales of DJ equipment, as well as DJ school operations. In this context, they felt the need to create an environment where more people could feel closer to DJing. Additionally, G.K. T.S.T, with the desire to further promote the charm of "Yokohama, the city of music," has produced numerous events. Yokohama VIVRE, located in the highly influential Yokohama Station West Exit area, was considered the optimal place for cultural dissemination. And the philosophy of "social experiments utilizing the power of places" promoted by BAKERU Inc. converged with the desires of both companies to "expand the opportunities for Yokohama's DJs" and "make more people aware of the appeal of DJing and music," leading to this collaboration. BACK YARD has continuously held music events utilizing its rooftop space since last year, accumulating efforts to create a place where people can experience DJ culture and street culture. This initiative further develops that trend, aiming to disseminate music culture from the Yokohama Station West Exit area as a new cultural platform where young Yokohama DJs can more continuously thrive.
