AtoJ Co., Ltd. (Head office: Kita-ku, Osaka; Representatives: Nobuo Tomita (CEO, lawyer), Ritoshi Mori (CLO, lawyer); hereinafter: "the Company"), which has a vision of "Legal peace of mind in the palm of everyone's hand," will make its first appearance at "The 17th EDIX (Education General Exhibition) Tokyo" to be held at Tokyo Big Sight East Hall from May 13 (Wed) to 15 (Fri), 2026.

We propose a "third option, neither litigation nor self-collection," to resolve unpaid tuition, course fees, and nursery fees in cram schools, preparatory schools, various schools, nurseries, and kindergartens due to bank transfer errors or failed direct debits, while maintaining relationships with parents and students through dialogue.

"Missed opportunities" occurring on-site in tuition collection

In cram schools, preparatory schools, various schools, nurseries, and kindergartens, it is common practice to manage tuition, course fees, and nursery fees collection through bank transfers or direct debits. However, a certain number of withdrawal errors occur every month due to "carelessness" on the part of parents/students, such as insufficient funds, changed accounts, missed registrations during course changes, or incomplete withdrawal/cancellation procedures.

In our press release "Service Usage Fee Unpaid Status Survey" distributed in February 2026, it was confirmed that among consumers who had experienced non-payment in the past two years (1 in 5 people), "careless non-payment" due to payment errors or incomplete withdrawal/cancellation procedures accounted for the majority of the reasons. We believe that the same structure exists in tuition and course fee withdrawal errors that occur in cram schools and other school settings.

Each time a response is required, the administrative staff, instructors, and staff's man-hours are reduced, and it is difficult to take strong action considering the relationship with parents, with the result that some fees tend to be left uncollected ─ this is an area of "missed opportunities" that has been structurally overlooked by all businesses operating tuition collection.

"OneNegotiation" proposes a third option

OneNegotiation is an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform certified by the Minister of Justice (Certification No. 176). It enables the completion of agreement formation for payment online, for small unpaid amounts due to tuition, course fees, or nursery fee withdrawal errors or failed bank transfers.

By providing end-to-end support from filing for mediation after self-notification (demand) to agreement formation and payment confirmation, we have accumulated a resolution track record of over 50% while reducing management tasks after self-notification (demand) by up to 90%.

Since the service began, the cumulative number of applications has rapidly expanded:

As of July 2025: Cumulative 7,000 cases

As of October 2025: Cumulative 18,000 cases

As of March 2026: Cumulative 30,000 cases (exceeded 30,000)

Transition of cumulative application cases for OneNegotiation

Three features of OneNegotiation

(1) Everything from application to payment is completed online Applications can be made with only three pieces of information: name, amount, and contact information. Notifications via email/SMS/postcard, agreement formation, and payment confirmation are all carried out online.

(2) Parents/students complete on their smartphones After notification, parents/students can choose from options such as "immediate payment," "installment payment," or "next month payment" themselves. Payment can be completed on a smartphone/PC.

(3) Lawyer support if no agreement is reached If an agreement cannot be reached through dialogue, it is possible to transition to lawyer consultation (online mediation).
