Arxcs Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka, Osaka; Representative Director: Tenshin Sugiyama), which operates the "Innovative Athlete Academy" career education business for student athletes, announced that it will hold the career festival "VISION SUMMIT," which has seen a cumulative total of approximately 1,000 student athletes attend, in Umeda, Osaka on Monday, June 29th.

This event, now in its fourth year, will address the future of each student athlete through diverse content including corporate booths, life design content, talk sessions by athlete entrepreneurs and HR personnel, a vision pitch contest, university sports seminars, and networking events.

▼About VISION SUMMIT, now in its 4th year

VISION SUMMIT is a career festival where next-generation student athletes gather. A cumulative total of approximately 1,000 student athletes have participated so far.

From the "passion" that student athletes have poured into their sport, to the passion for life. VISION SUMMIT creates a day where all student athletes have the opportunity to develop aspirations for their future.

【Purpose of VISION SUMMIT】

① To create opportunities for student athletes to encounter things they can be passionate about outside of sports.

② To create points of contact between student athletes and society, and opportunities to meet role models.

③ To expand options for "how to live one's own life" beyond the framework of traditional job hunting.

▼Concept | Connecting the passion of sports to the passion of life.

▼Why is VISION SUMMIT held?

Until now, various means of career support for student athletes have been provided, such as job hunting agents and joint information sessions. However, we believe that these methods have not addressed the fundamental issue of enabling student athletes to live a life true to themselves even after retiring from competition.

Indeed, a survey conducted among 2nd and 3rd-year university sports club members from Kansai, Kanto, and Doshisha universities who are expected to participate in this VISION SUMMIT, showed that 76.9% of students who "are interested but have not taken action" in activities connecting with society responded that they "don't know where to start."

Furthermore, 59.9% of students responded that they "are interested in connecting with society but have taken little action," revealing a significant gap between interest and action. In addition, it was found that 55.2% of students have had almost no contact with companies.

These results reveal a structural problem for student athletes: they "are interested but have not taken action" and "lack contact with society and opportunities to meet role models."

Precisely because they have seriously dedicated themselves to their sport, when it comes to thinking about their post-retirement career, they don't know what criteria to use for decision-making — such a situation exists.

That's why we believe that what is needed is not just information provision, but an "opportunity to face oneself and broaden life options."

What strengths have they cultivated through sports?

How can those strengths be utilized in society?

What do they truly want to do?

Given the current lack of opportunities to address these questions, VISION SUMMIT creates opportunities for each student athlete to consider their career and take the first step, through encounters with role models and connections with society.

Furthermore, this event is not an information-providing session like traditional job fairs, but is designed as a "place to confront one's career" that students of all grades can attend.
