■ About 'SHIBUYA MEGA WALL CRANE'

'SHIBUYA MEGA WALL CRANE' transforms the KEIO MIRARERU VISION Shibuya Mega Wall—the largest vertical LED screen in the Shibuya area adjacent to SHIBUYA109—into a 'giant claw crane game' appearing in the cityscape.

Leveraging the Mega Wall’s prime location at the entrance of Bunkamura-dori, close to subway exits, and its screen dimensions of 13.00 meters in height and 6.00 meters in width, the team created an autostereoscopic 3D video that naturally draws pedestrians’ eyes upward.

In the 3D visuals, the crane arm grabs prizes and appears to emerge from the screen into the real world, creating a sense of depth and surprise. Furthermore, CGI elements extend beyond the screen frame, depicting the crane flying into actual Shibuya streets, thereby bridging physical OOH experiences with digital content shared on social media.

This dual approach aims to inspire on-site viewers to capture and share the moment on smartphones, while social media viewers are motivated to visit Shibuya in person.

■ Key Features of the Project

The project’s greatest strength lies in moving beyond traditional informational advertising by positioning the brand’s world as a 'share-worthy protagonist' that people want to photograph.

By reimagining the Shibuya Mega Wall itself as a 'giant claw machine,' the creative naturally captures pedestrians’ attention and encourages them to watch until the end. Even in a silent outdoor advertising format, the characterful crane arm and comedic visuals ensure intuitive message delivery.

Moreover, the integration of autostereoscopic 3D, CGI, and social media distribution creates a synergistic loop where street-level attention fuels online virality and vice versa. ARROVA contributed its expertise in 3DCG and CGI to craft expressions that connect real-world experiences with digital buzz.
