In recent years, concerns about scalp condition have been growing in Japan and around the world due to factors such as stress, changes in living environments, and aging. The hair care market is shifting from an era focused on caring for hair itself to a new era of scalp care that emphasizes scalp condition.

Against this backdrop of market change, TOMO YUME Group is advancing the construction of a Multi-Source Bioactive Platform that utilizes diverse biologically derived materials, including human, plant, and milk-derived sources.

Among these, Sparkling Sciences, a research and development company under the group, has completed the international INCI registration and Japanese cosmetic ingredient registration for Human Hair Follicle Dermal Papilla Cell Exosomes.

Hair follicle dermal papilla cells are known as cells that play a crucial role in hair cycle research, and this material serves as one of the important foundations for the next-generation hair science technology promoted by TOMO YUME Group.

Furthermore, as a plant-derived EV platform, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Vesicles has also completed international INCI registration and Japanese cosmetic ingredient registration. Rice bran-derived EVs are natural ingredients familiar to Japanese people, and new possibilities are expected in the fields of scalp care, skin care, and beauty ingredients.

A representative product applying these research results is the second-generation MUiKA Exosome Scalp Essence.

The second-generation MUiKA combines rice bran-derived EVs (Rice Bran EV) and Milk Exosomes, and was developed as a new-generation scalp care product to maintain daily scalp condition. It is not merely an improvement of existing products but also an implementation model of the bioactive technology platform that TOMO YUME Group has been building for many years.

Currently, the company has also completed the core technology construction for the Sakura Cell EV Platform and is preparing for international INCI registration application. As a plant-derived EV platform utilizing cherry blossoms, which symbolize Japan, the company is also considering its application in functional foods and beauty/health fields, in addition to cosmetic ingredients.

TOMO YUME Group continues to promote research and development of diverse biologically derived materials, with a view to expanding into a wide range of fields beyond hair science, including skin care, wellness, and pet care.

Dr. Jen Kao, CEO of TOMO YUME Group, commented on the expansion into the Japanese market as follows:

"Excellent products are born from continuous research and development and a solid technology platform. We are advancing the construction of a biotechnology platform that meets international standards by further deepening our independent research and development, manufacturing processes, quality control, and scientific verification.

Through Human Hair Follicle Dermal Papilla Cell Exosomes, rice bran-derived EVs (Rice Bran EV), and the developing Sakura Cell EV Platform, we actively seek to expand opportunities for joint development and OEM/ODM collaboration with Japanese companies.

We will leverage our R&D achievements cultivated in Taiwan to expand into international markets, including Japan, and contribute to the creation of new value."

Going forward, TOMO YUME Group will actively promote collaboration with cosmetic manufacturers, hair care brands, OEM/ODM companies, raw material trading companies, distributors, and research institutions.

Centered around Human Hair Follicle Dermal Papilla Cell Exosomes, rice bran-derived EVs (Rice Bran EV), and the Sakura Cell EV Platform, we aim to pioneer new possibilities in next-generation hair science and bioactive ingredients, and achieve sustainable value creation in the Japanese market.
