Home screen completely renewed -- New "Body Rhythm" and "Battery Level" sections added, significantly improving visibility of activity and sleep data.
"Heat Stress Notification" newly added -- Combines biometric data such as skin temperature, heart rate, and HRV with the Ministry of the Environment's WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) to notify users of individual heat burden signs in 4 levels.
KEY FIGURES
Equipped with new features such as "Calorie AI" to support daily health habits.
Apposter Japan Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director: Kim Gon) will implement a major update "App 3.0" to completely renew the dedicated application for its smart healthcare brand "b.ring" in July 2026. This update features a completely new UI/UX for the home screen and the addition of "Heat Stress Notification," specialized for countermeasures against Japan's intense heat. This is a personalized heat countermeasure function that combines biometric and environmental data.
Home screen completely renewed
App 3.0 features a completely new home screen configuration. It has been redesigned with a focus on "Today's Condition," which users check most frequently.
The new home screen includes a "Body Rhythm" section based on circadian rhythm. It integrates and analyzes heart rate, HRV, sleep patterns, and activity levels over the past 14 days to suggest optimal times for concentration, rest, and exercise. Additionally, the real-time display of battery level, a highly requested feature, is now permanently available on the home screen. Accessibility to activity logs and sleep data has also been significantly improved, allowing users to access necessary information with a single tap.
"Heat Stress Notification" -- New preparedness for the intense heat season
One of the flagship features of App 3.0 is the addition of the new "Heat Stress Notification" function. In Japan, over 90,000 people are transported by ambulance due to heatstroke each summer, and the number of deaths reached a record high in 2025. b.ring responds to this serious social issue with an approach unique to wearable devices.
This function analyzes 5 biometric signals measured by b.ring 24/7: skin temperature, heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), resting heart rate, and blood oxygen (SpO2), in addition to real-time regional data from the Ministry of the Environment's WBGT (Wet Bulb Globe Temperature) API. Its distinguishing feature is the highly accurate estimation of individual heat burden by combining "environmental heat" and "bodily response."
The risk is classified into 4 levels: "Normal," "Caution," "Warning," and "High Burden." When "Caution" or higher is detected, users will receive a push notification prompting them to rest and hydrate. To account for individual differences, the system learns the individual's baseline data over the first 14 days of wear and automatically excludes temporary body temperature increases due to bathing or exercise.
Calorie AI -- Nutrition management with just one photo
"Calorie AI" is a function that automatically estimates calories and major nutrients simply by taking a photo of a meal, visualizing nutritional balance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. It supports users in recognizing their dietary habits and improving their meals to be more balanced without complex input.
