U-NEXT App Now Available for BYD Auto Japan: Making In-Car Spaces More Comfortable with Entertainment Time

U-NEXT Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Tenshin Tsutsumi), a company under the USEN & U-NEXT GROUP that operates the video streaming service "U-NEXT," has launched the U-NEXT app on the in-vehicle infotainment system of the "BYD SEALION 6," a super hybrid SUV provided by BYD Auto Japan K.K. (Headquarters: Yokohama, Kanagawa; President and Representative Director: Atsuki Tofukuji; abbreviated as BAJ).

This initiative marks the first time BAJ has supported a Japanese paid video streaming service, representing a new step in the expansion of connected services promoted by BYD.

With the "BYD SEALION 6," users can utilize the interior of the vehicle as a relaxing space during charging, waiting for passengers, or taking breaks. By leveraging the high-resolution display and the vehicle's audio system, the time between travels is transformed into a more comfortable and fulfilling experience.

The U-NEXT app can be used by downloading it from the "BYD Store," an in-vehicle app store that allows users to add applications to the infotainment system of BYD vehicles.

There is no need to connect external devices such as smartphones; users can seamlessly enjoy high-quality video content, movies, anime, dramas, live music, and sports simply by using the touch controls on the vehicle's built-in display.
