We are pleased to announce the opening of a New American restaurant named NAIAD in Shinsen, Shibuya Ward.

We offer a unique experience unlike any other, with edgy, solid appetizers and wines from around the world.

New American is a genre still unfamiliar in Japan, but it is a new genre born from the diverse cultures of America, where people of various ethnicities live, and chefs are not bound by convention.

There are many Michelin-starred New American restaurants overseas. I was deeply moved when I encountered this cuisine while working as a chef in America. There isn't yet a truly authentic "New American" experience in Japan, and we wanted to share that感動 (kandō - deep emotion/impression) with our customers, which led us to open this restaurant.

We are committed to establishing New American cuisine in Japan with a sense of responsibility.

Lately, when I look around at Japanese restaurants,

While there are of course wonderful establishments,

I believe there are increasing numbers of restaurants that are all about appearance with no substance, commercial establishments lacking cultural elements, and high-priced restaurants that create the illusion of quality simply due to their cost, with no visible effort beyond corporate strategy.

NAIAD challenges this trend.

That's why we've put our heart into our ¥5,500 course menu. This price is not a discount, but a testament to our sincerity.

We invite you to experience it for yourself.

NAIAD is the name of a nymph from a spring in mythology. The legend says that drinking the water from her spring restores vitality. With this in mind, we named our restaurant in Shinsen "NAIAD," hoping that our customers will feel energized and happy by enjoying delicious food and wine.

You can enjoy our restaurant for any occasion, whether it's a date, a get-together with friends, or after work. We hope to become a beloved establishment in the city and a hub for cultural exchange.

Sincerely,

The NAIAD Staff
