The main feature is undoubtedly the flavorful soup and the wrapper that encases the filling. The steamed xiao long bao have a "super-thin wrapper" that is so translucent you can see through it. When you bite into a freshly made, piping hot xiao long bao, the rich, collagen-filled soup and the flavor of selected pork spread throughout your mouth from within the thin wrapper.
