GENTLE MONSTER Launches 2026 Veggie Collection

Global fashion eyewear brand GENTLE MONSTER has released its 2026 Veggie Collection.

This collection proposes compact folding eyewear that reinterprets the shapes and colors of vegetables with a unique, restrained wit. To commemorate the launch, special pop-up spaces have been opened in six cities around the world. In Japan, the pop-up opens today at the Yodobashi J6 Building in Harajuku, Tokyo.

The Veggie Collection pop-up is inspired by field and farm landscapes. Centered around a massive tomato object, the space features a vibrant garden filled with 'Veggiemon' objects—life forms形象化 as various scales of vegetables—allowing visitors to experience the collection's wit in three dimensions.

Furthermore, an interactive photo booth where visitors can transform into their favorite Veggiemon is installed, further expanding the collection's worldview. Customers who purchase eligible products at the pop-up store will receive a Veggiemon key ring.

The 2026 Veggie Collection consists of 10 types of folding eyewear that combine durable construction with portability.

This collection expresses a new beauty through the contrast between a pastoral mood, incorporating the silhouettes and colors of real vegetables, and an artificial aesthetic. It features temple details that express the lively colors and forms of vegetables through an alien aesthetic language, layered on top of silhouettes where organic curves and structural design intersect.

From frames reflecting vegetable silhouettes to temple details that aesthetically reinterpret stem elements, the brand expresses the freshness of nature with a unique artistic sensibility.

In the Veggie Collection campaign, featuring Karina from aespa, the brand portrays a strange obsession unfolding on a desolate field, captured as a surreal mise-en-scène from GENTLE MONSTER's unique perspective. Karina's aesthetic obsession with tomatoes expresses the most organic materials through the most unrealistic sensations, highlighting the collection's aesthetic.
