■ About Tagonotsuki

Founded in 1952 (Showa 27), Tagonotsuki is headquartered and has its factory in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, at the foot of the magnificent Mt. Fuji, a World Cultural Heritage site. We are dedicated to making exquisite sweets that allow you to taste the carefully selected ingredients, starting with the high-quality water springing from Mt. Fuji. After the war, the founder returned to his hometown of Fuji City with the desire to "brighten and energize a disheartened and gloomy world, even a little, with sweet confectionery," which marked the beginning of Tagonotsuki. We operate 22 directly managed stores in Shizuoka Prefecture, 1 tenant store in Kanagawa Prefecture, and an online shop. Our representative confections include "Tagonotsuki Monaka," which has a fragrant shell filled with lightly sweetened coarse red bean paste made from Hokkaido Tokachi azuki beans and rock sugar, along with gyuhi mochi; and "Fujisancho," a moist sponge cake filled with special custard cream smoothly made with fresh milk and fresh cream from the foot of Mt. Fuji. "Fujisancho" is topped with white chocolate and coffee-flavored chocolate beans, resembling a snow-capped Mt. Fuji. We continue to create sweets that value Japanese culture, seasonality, and local characteristics, while also embracing the development of "Neo-Wagashi" that incorporates Western confectionery elements, preserving traditional wagashi techniques and beauty. We will continue to offer Tagonotsuki-like sweets, including products that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and nationalities. Corporate HP: https://tagonotsuki.co.jp/
