■ About Tagonotsuki

Founded in 1952 (Showa 27), Tagonotsuki Co., Ltd. has its head office and factory at the foot of the World Heritage site, Mt. Fuji, in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture. We are dedicated to making exquisite sweets that allow you to taste the flavors of carefully selected ingredients, including the high-quality water springing from Mt. Fuji. After the war, the founder returned to his hometown of Fuji City and started Tagonotsuki with the desire to "brighten and energize a dispirited and dark world, even a little, with sweet confections." We operate 22 directly managed stores in Shizuoka Prefecture, 1 tenant store in Kanagawa Prefecture, and an online shop. Our representative confections include "Tagonotsuki Monaka," filled with fragrant crust, lightly sweetened tsubu-an made with Hokkaido Tokachi red beans and rock sugar, and gyuhi mochi; and "Fujisancho," a moist sponge cake filled with special custard cream smoothly made with fresh milk and fresh cream from the foot of Mt. Fuji. "Fujisancho" is topped with white chocolate and coffee-flavored chocolate beans, resembling Mt. Fuji covered in snow. We continue to make sweets that cherish Japanese culture, seasonality, and local characteristics, while also incorporating elements of Western confectionery to develop "Neo-Wagashi" that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and nationalities. We will continue to offer Tagonotsuki-style sweets, including products that appeal to a wide range of customers. Corporate HP: https://tagonotsuki.co.jp/
