Dolphin Performance
This is 'Umigatari's' most popular event program, unfolding against the backdrop of the Sea of Japan.
Through jump performances accompanied by music and underwater acts with trainers, we introduce not only the ecology of dolphins but also their high physical abilities and intelligence.

Introducing Baby Fish: 'Young Fish'
Chibikko Aquarium
In honor of 'Children's Day', we will exhibit 'babies' of creatures found in the waters of Jōetsu.
From spring to early summer, many creatures are in their breeding season, and 'young fish' of fish and other species can be seen frequently in the sea.
The exhibit will introduce the highlights and points of interest of these 'babies' of living creatures, which can only be seen 'now', along with their survival strategies.

Let's Fly Carp Streamers at Umigatari♪
Let's Make Them Together! Carp Streamer Workshop
This is a workshop where you can color carp streamer-shaped paper.
The colored carp streamers will be displayed in the event hall and near the feeding pool where Nishikigoi are exhibited, creating a 'Children's Day' atmosphere and a sense of unity.

Monthly Tank
The 'Monthly Tank' introduces one creature in-depth each month. In May, to coincide with 'Children's Day' and 'Koinobori' (carp streamers), we will exhibit 'Koi' (carp).
'Koi' are creatures that have been deeply connected with people's lives for a long time. This exhibit focuses on the ecology of koi, their use as food, 'Nishikigoi' (ornamental carp) referred to as 'swimming jewels', and anecdotes related to carp.
