Tokyu Power Supply Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuhide Mishiro; hereinafter "the Company"), which proposes future-oriented smart living to consumers, has been offering the market-linked menu "Life Fit Plan" (hereinafter "Life Fit") since June 2024, which allows customers to save on electricity bills through peak shifting according to their lifestyle. Now, in view of the further prolongation of the situation in Iran and the Middle East, we will implement a plan revision to set an upper limit on the market-linked unit price*1, thereby mitigating the risk of high monthly electricity bills for our customers. The situation in Iran and the Middle East is showing signs of becoming prolonged, and an increase in electricity bills due to the recent rise in fuel prices is expected as electricity demand increases towards the summer. In the wholesale electricity market (JEPX spot market), the highest price in the Tokyo area over the past month reached 64.28 yen/kWh, indicating that fuel price trends are beginning to affect market-linked unit prices. On the other hand, with the first-ever output curtailment of renewable energy (hereinafter "renewables") in the Tokyo metropolitan area in March 2026, the trend of expanding electricity from renewable sources, mainly from the increase in solar power plants, continues. The lowest price in the Tokyo area during the daytime, when solar power output peaks, has been 0.01 yen/kWh in the past week, expanding opportunities to use electricity economically through conscious peak shifting as proposed by Life Fit. Under these circumstances, to allow Life Fit customers to use electricity with greater peace of mind, the Company has decided to implement a plan revision where if the market-linked unit price exceeds 55 yen/kWh, the Company will bear the full difference. This revision will be automatically applied to all customers currently contracted for Life Fit with our company, starting from the June usage, and no new procedures are required from the customers. Under our corporate slogan, "New life experiences, together with energy," we will continue to think about the relationship between energy and daily life with consumers and propose convenient and economical smart living. *1: This sets an upper limit on the spot market price (area price) of the Tokyo area used to calculate the market-linked unit price. The market-linked unit price is calculated by adjusting the sum of the spot market price and the market transaction fee equivalent unit price (0.03 yen) by the Tokyo area loss rate (6.9%). *Please refer to the attached sheet for details. [Attached Sheet] ■Spot market prices in the Tokyo area of the wholesale electricity market (JEPX) (April 23-30, 2026) and the price cap. In one week (168 hours), the time period exceeding the cap was only 1.0 hour (April 23, 15:30-16:00; April 28, 18:30-19:00). ■Daily trend of spot market prices on a day the cap was exceeded (April 28, 2026). For most of the day, the price remained at or below 55 yen/kWh. ■Comment from the head of Life Fit: This revision was considered out of a desire for our customers to use electricity with peace of mind, even as market price fluctuations become larger. While cherishing the inherent value of a market-linked menu—that it can be economical depending on usage—we want to evolve it into a service that more people can choose positively by appropriately curbing the price increase risks that can lead to anxiety. We will continue to propose new ways of using energy while staying close to our customers' lives.
