[Key Lecture Points]
Decarbonization of automobiles is no longer just about EVs. We have entered a phase where EVs, hydrogen, and RNG are used selectively according to national and regional industrial structures, energy resources like renewables and biomass, and infrastructure constraints.
In this lecture, we will compare tax credits, LCFS, and RFS in the US; NEV promotion policies and hydrogen demonstrations in China; and RED III and AFIR in Europe to clarify which fuels each region is trying to grow for which applications. We will show the different winning strategies for passenger and commercial vehicles, and the implications for Japanese companies.
1. Why Look at 'Auto Fuel Policies' Through Regional Comparison Now?
2. US: RNG, Hydrogen, and Low-Carbon Fuels Expanding via Market Incentives
3. China: A Two-Front Strategy Centered on EVs and Cultivating Hydrogen in Commercial Vehicles
4. Europe: Regulation-Led Advancement of EVs, Hydrogen, and Renewable Gas
5. Implications for Japanese Companies: What Japan Should Learn and Do
6. Q&A / Business Card Exchange
