A New Form of Memorial Service to Convey "Gratitude" on Mother's Day and Father's Day. Kazokusou Hitotoki to Hold "Mother's Day & Father's Day Memorial Service Festival" at Settsu Shojaku and Suita Yamada Halls

Kazokusou Hitotoki, which operates funeral halls in the Hokusetsu region of Osaka Prefecture, including Settsu City and Suita City, will hold the "Mother's Day & Father's Day Memorial Service Festival" to convey gratitude to deceased parents. The Mother's Day event will take place on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Settsu Shojaku Hall, and the Father's Day event on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Suita Yamada Hall. This event will feature memorial services and Dharma talks by priests, along with a special gift of Buddhist flowers to participants. We aim to contribute to the local community as a place that continues to support families' hearts even after a funeral.

"Mother's Day" and "Father's Day" are traditionally days to express gratitude through gifts and meals, but for families who have lost loved ones, these can also be days of loneliness. Kazokusou Hitotoki planned this memorial service festival with the desire to provide an opportunity for such families to positively face their departed loved ones again and express their gratitude. As an "open place where local residents can stop by normally," which is our vision, the event is designed to make traditional memorial services feel more accessible.

Seasonal Expression of Gratitude: Special Buddhist flowers, carnations for Mother's Day and roses for Father's Day, will be prepared and presented to participants.

Dharma Talk by a Priest: In addition to sutra chanting, a Dharma talk by a priest will provide time to reaffirm the preciousness of life and the bonds of family.

Affordable Pricing and Community Collaboration: Members can participate for 500 yen (general public 1,000 yen), and the collected participation fees will be offered to the priests as alms.
