Gakken Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Shinagawa / President: Tatsuya Nanjo), a group company of Gakken Holdings Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Shinagawa / President: Hiroaki Miyahara), launched four existing titles from the 'Oshiete! Sanrio Characters' series on U-NEXT's 'Kids All-You-Can-Read' service on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. U-NEXT monthly plan members can enjoy them at no additional cost.

'Oshiete! Sanrio Characters' is a picture book series where children can learn essential knowledge needed from early childhood to live a better future, alongside Sanrio characters.

The themes vary, such as 'A Book to Protect Your Body', which deals with personal body safety including private parts, and 'Various Feelings: What Does it Mean to be Angry?', which covers basic emotions that toddlers begin to understand deeply. The series uses the worldview of Sanrio characters to gently and clearly explain important but difficult-to-discuss topics.

Since the series launched in December 2024, it has been highly popular, with consecutive reprints decided. It is especially well-received by children aged 3 to 7, mostly around school-entry age, and their families.
