Exactly one year has passed since the popular '2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo' was held. Looking back on the fun memories, many people are probably wishing they could go again. This time, at the Daimaru Umeda store, we have gathered three sweets brands that were served at the Expo pavilions and gained popularity on social media. For those who wanted to try them at least once, and for those who want to eat them again. Please take this opportunity to enjoy these flavors that you don't usually come across.

★ Netherlands Pavilion <Wafelhuis> Stroopwafel

'Stroopwafel' (1 piece) 270 yen including tax

### A unique traditional Dutch pastry where you can enjoy a difference in texture in a single piece.

The stroopwafel served at the Netherlands pavilion is made by slicing a thinly baked cookie dough in half and sandwiching caramel (syrup) in between. It is a traditional sweet born in the Gouda region of the Netherlands.

<Wafelhuis> is a specialty shop for the standard Dutch snack 'Stroopwafel'. The shop owner, who experienced studying abroad at Kobe University, founded it in Rokko in 2010 with the desire to spread the taste of his hometown in the Netherlands. Including the standard cinnamon, they always have more than 10 flavors available, such as vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

You can bite into it as is, but the recommended way to eat it is to place the waffle on a cup filled with hot coffee or tea, and let the steam make it a little moist before eating. The syrup inside gently melts, allowing you to enjoy a different texture.
