Daimaru Kobe Store will host the "Pan Dorobou Exhibition" from Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, to Monday, April 13th, 2026. The "Pan Dorobou" series of picture books by author Keiko Shibata is highly popular. With its surprising illustrations and storylines, it appeals to both children and adults. The series has sold over 5 million copies cumulatively and is set to be adapted into an anime in Autumn 2026, further expanding its popularity.

This exhibition began in August 2024 at Matsuya Ginza in Tokyo and is touring nationwide, with Kobe being the 11th venue. Starting from the Kobe venue, in addition to previously exhibited works, original illustrations from seven series titles, including "Pan Dorobou and the Masked Apple" and "Pan Dorobou and the Prince of Sweets," will be displayed. Furthermore, character designs and rough sketches will be exhibited, and new photo spots where visitors can experience the world of Pan Dorobou are planned to be added from the Kobe venue. Please enjoy an exhibition space filled with the playful and surreal humor of Pan Dorobou.

A merchandise corner will also offer many commemorative goods featuring newly drawn artworks for this exhibition. New merchandise exclusive to the Kobe venue will also be available. We invite families to step into the world of Pan Dorobou.
