Shichimiya Honpo Co., Ltd. (Location: Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture, Representative Director: Yoshinori Fukushima), a long-established maker of Shichimi Togarashi (seven-spice chili pepper blend) that has been operating on the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto since the Meireki era (1655-), has designated July 3 (Fri) to July 8 (Wed), 2026, a six-day period, as "Shichimiya Week," in commemoration of the number "738" which sounds like "Shichimiya." During this period, the main store in Kiyomizu will offer gifts of original spice can magnets and sell limited quantities of new spice containers.

The new spice containers are a collaborative product with "Seigado Toen," located on the approach to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. These original ceramic containers were born from regional cooperation, with the shared goal of "making the sightseeing around Kiyomizu-dera Temple even more enjoyable."
