Our company endorses April Dream, a project that aims to make April 1st a day for announcing dreams. This press release represents the dream of "YK PRODUCE / K2 Co., Ltd."

YK PRODUCE Co., Ltd.'s wedding photo and movie brand "K2" will exhibit at "KG+2026," an open-call art festival collaborating with KYOTOGRAPHIE Kyoto International Photography Festival.

The venue will be Kyoto Creative Garage (7 minutes walk from Karasuma Station / Shijo Station), and the exhibition title is "Focus of Memory / An Ambiguous Focus."

Through this initiative, we aim to achieve three major dreams:
To deliver the value of weddings to future generations.
To re-examine wedding photography in society through the new language of art.
And to connect the culture of preserving photos in physical form to the future.

## Challenging Expression on the International Stage
Since its establishment, YK PRODUCE Co., Ltd. has actively participated in international competitions to enhance its wedding photography and videography techniques and expression.

We have achieved numerous awards in various domestic and international competitions, including the world's top photography contest "icon International Photography Awards," continuously challenging since 2016 and accumulating a total of 307 awards.

While accumulating recognition on the international stage, we have always held a certain question:
[Why is such rich expression confined only "within the bridal industry"? Doesn't wedding photography have the power to convey its charm to a wider society?]

## The First Step: Exhibiting at KG+
As an answer to that question and a new challenge, we decided to participate in KG+ again this year, following last year.

**Exhibition Title: "Focus of Memory / An Ambiguous Focus"**

- Wedding Photography as Memory, Not Documentation -

Wedding photography is not meant to accurately record events.
It is a medium of "memory" that transforms over time and remains with emotion.

This exhibition, "Focus of Memory / An Ambiguous Focus," focuses on the ambiguity inherent in wedding photography,
visualizing how memories come into focus and become ambiguous.

Elements of memory such as color, light, and sound are never fixed.
They fluctuate and remain as fragments.

Not accurate, but not a lie.
Not a fact, but true as an emotion.

This exhibition quietly asks whether photography is memory before it is a record.

OUR EXHIBITION (Exhibition Details)

Bringing wedding photography to a venue like KG+, where photographers, curators, and gallerists from Japan and abroad gather, is an act of vocalizing the question to society: "Can wedding photography also be art?"

## Our Three Dreams We Seriously Want to Achieve
**1: We want to deliver the value of weddings to future generations.**
Recently, an increasing number of couples are choosing not to hold a wedding ceremony for various reasons.
As one of the backgrounds, we feel there is an information gap where people "cannot imagine what a wedding experience is like."

When people encounter a moment of a wedding in a non-commercial setting like an art festival, they realize, "Such an experience exists." We believe that when these small realizations accumulate, the culture of weddings can once again take root in society.
Our company positions KG+ as a cultural investment to broaden this entry point.

**2: Wedding photography, into a new genre of art.**
For many years, the style of wedding photography has been standardized, leading to a structure where, no matter how high the technique, it often gives the impression of "all looking the same." We want to change this situation.

If wedding photography comes to be recognized by society as an "artwork" rather than a "record," photographers' creativity will be justly evaluated, and the creative level and added value structure of the entire industry will change.
We believe that we, who have continuously honed our skills in international competitions, can be the starting point for this change.

**3: We want to connect the culture of preserving photos on paper to the future.**
With digital delivery becoming mainstream, many wedding photos taken remain dormant as data.
Photos preserved in physical form, especially albums printed on paper, have a tangible weight, retain their atmosphere and emotions without requiring electricity or equipment, and vividly revive memories of the time each time a page is turned.
When a family opens an album 10 or 20 years later, its value emerges in a more complete form than when it was first held.

By delivering the value of "preserving wedding photos in physical form" through an appreciation experience, we hope to contribute to the revival of this culture.

## To those who can nurture this dream with us
YK PRODUCE Co., Ltd. does not intend for this exhibition to end as merely "the dissemination of one brand." We will continuously accumulate initiatives that connect wedding photography to the context of art, forming cultural assets that can be returned to the entire industry.

We look forward to hearing from all companies and organizations that empathize with this dream, and everyone involved in photography, albums, printing, and weddings, to expand this inquiry together. We welcome contact in any form, including sponsorship, cooperation, and joint exhibitions.

"April Dream" is a project by PR TIMES where companies announce dreams they wish to achieve on April 1st. We are seriously aiming for the realization of this dream.
