Royal Caribbean has unveiled details of its new ship, 'Hero of the Seas,' poised to become the new star (hero) of family vacations. As the fourth ship in the highly successful 'Icon Class,' it will set sail from Miami in August 2027.

'Hero of the Seas' boasts a gross tonnage of 248,600 tons, a length of 364 meters, a passenger capacity of 5,654, and 2,814 staterooms. The massive ship features '8 neighborhoods' with facilities for guests of all ages.

This cruise ship combines the freedom of a beach, the luxury of a resort, and the thrills of a theme park into one vessel. It offers eight distinct areas with numerous amenities, including the most pools at sea and 28 dining venues, elevating family memory-making to an unprecedented level.

With a total of nine pools, it offers the most pools at sea, including a family-friendly water play area, a Caribbean-style pool, three adults-only pools, and the largest swim-up bar at sea.
