Ito-Yokado and York's O-chugen Summer Gift 2026: Orders Begin May 7th (Thursday)!

Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairman & President: Yukio Mafune; hereinafter "Ito-Yokado") will begin accepting orders for "Ito-Yokado and York's O-chugen Summer Gift 2026" from Thursday, May 7, 2026*, at 197 stores including Ito-Yokado, York Foods, York Mart, and through Ito-Yokado's online store.

In recent years, the summer gift market has seen a diversification of gifting styles and enjoyment, in addition to the traditional demand for seasonal greetings, such as expressing gratitude to parents and relatives, or as a reward for oneself. Against this backdrop, the 2026 O-chugen collection offers a wide range of products, from formal gifts to casual items that can be enjoyed casually.

This year, even as prices continue to rise, we are further strengthening the popular "Horidashi Mono" (Hidden Gems) series, which was well-received last year, to allow customers to enjoy gift selection at a better value. The number of items has expanded by approximately 1.7 times, from 10 items last year to 17 items, offering products that are difficult to handle through normal distribution, such as irregular or limited-quantity items, at affordable prices while maintaining their quality and taste.

Furthermore, we are enhancing our lineup of ice cream gifts, for which demand has been expanding due to rising temperatures in recent years. Last year's O-chugen saw a strong performance in the ice cream category, with sales increasing by approximately 10% year-on-year at existing stores. In 2026, we will introduce new Ito-Yokado original assorted sets combining "Häagen-Dazs" and "Nangoku Shirokuma," proposing products that can be enjoyed by a wide range of generations.

In addition, the "Art Collection" series, which has enjoyed persistent popularity since its launch in 2019, will feature works by Claude Monet, a leading Impressionist painter. 2026 marks the 100th anniversary of his death, and the packaging design has been finished with summery, cool colors and motifs. We propose this as a special gift that offers both visual beauty and taste.

Ito-Yokado will continue to deliver enjoyment and convenience to daily life, while catering to the diverse needs of each customer through seasonal events.
