Although it is a hot spring nestled in the mountains, its spring quality has been recognized, and we receive visitors from afar every day. We are honored to have been selected for Nifty Onsen's Top 100 Hot Springs 2026! Allow us to reintroduce our hot spring.
About Saruhashi Onsen Kinsennoyu
Saruhashi Onsen 'Kinsennoyu' is a hot spring facility surrounded by the rich nature of Aichi Kogen Quasi-National Park, also known as the "inner parlor of Nagoya."
〈Miracle Hot Spring〉
Legend has it that long ago, villagers noticed that snow never accumulated here, leading to an investigation that discovered the hot spring. The spring water, gushing from 1,200 meters underground, is a natural radon spring with high therapeutic effects, the first in Aichi Prefecture to receive permission for drinking. With a low occurrence rate of only 7% in Japan, it was the only hot spring in the Tokai region selected for the book "Miracle Hot Springs Recommended by Doctors."
〈Drinkable Natural Radon Spring〉
While it is a hot spring rich in benefits, analysis of the spring water led to official permission for drinking, the first in Aichi Prefecture. By drinking the source water, you can absorb 100% of the mineral components. When bathing, you inhale the vaporized components into your lungs through breathing, and as you soak in the water, the components are slowly absorbed through your skin, providing a triple effect that heals the body from the core.
Furthermore, its extremely low hardness makes it surprisingly soft and smooth, with a superb mouthfeel that easily penetrates the body.
'Drinkable' Means It Can Be Used in Cooking
Leveraging the drinkable hot spring water, all cooking water at our dining facilities uses this spring water. It's used for washing vegetables and cooking rice. This spring water is also "ultra-soft water," allowing for the creation of mellow and delicious dashi broth. At the day-use hot spring Kinsennoyu's dining area, 'Onjiki Shokudo,' you can enjoy our "famous" Saruhashi 100% Soba and hot spring tofu.
Our specialty is 'Saruhashi 100% Soba,' where drinkable hot spring water is used in all processes: kneading, boiling, and finishing. 'Hot Spring Tofu' is also a specialty, made with hot spring water. The tofu's corners melt away, creating a delicious fluffy and creamy texture.
Even the Ice is 'Drinkable Hot Spring Water'
We fully utilize the drinkable hot spring water, even making ice from it. In addition to ice for drinks, our specialty dessert is 'Onsen Kakigori' (hot spring shaved ice). This summer, be sure to try this unique dessert!
A nostalgic 'Cream Soda' and 'Onsen Kakigori' to cool down your body after a bath.
Original Products Featuring Drinkable Hot Spring Water
The hot spring water drawn from underground is transported to a factory in Okunagaragawa, Gifu Prefecture, where it is bottled in a clean environment. These are also available for online purchase. Additionally, we offer 'all-in-one gels' and 'face packs' made with hot spring water, which are popular among our female customers.
