Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1988, raised in Tokyo. Graduated from the Industrial Design Department of the Tokyo Campus of the Polytechnic University. In 2018, she received an honorable mention for the 59th Kodansha Children's Literature Newcomer Award for 'The Country Where Drawing is Forbidden', and debuted the following year. In 2022, she won the 55th Japan Children's Literature Association Newcomer Award for 'The Mermaid of Kasumigawa', and in 2024, the 62nd Noma Children's Literature Award for 'How to Kill Sugimori-kun'.
