Shouten Kobo Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the release of the SHOTEN LM-NZ M E, a mount adapter with electronic contacts designed to bring Leica M-mount lenses to Nikon Z-mount cameras, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The product will be available in two colors: Black and Silver.

The LM-NZ M E is engineered to provide a more comfortable and creative experience when using iconic Leica M lenses on Nikon Z bodies. Its standout features include a built-in helicoid mechanism and electronic contacts. With a 6mm travel range, the helicoid allows users to shorten the minimum focus distance of their lenses, enabling closer shots of subjects such as table decorations, flowers, and portraits.

The integrated electronic contacts transmit focal length and maximum aperture data to the camera, enabling EXIF recording. It also supports the focus aid function, assisting users with precise manual focusing. The adapter comes with 10 pre-registered lens data slots, which can be edited on a PC. Firmware updates are also supported via the included magnetic USB cable.

The adapter features a refined all-metal exterior in either black or silver. By omitting ink in the engraved areas, the design achieves a sophisticated look that seamlessly blends with cameras and lenses.
