While interest in timber utilization in the architectural field is increasing, challenges such as:
- Not knowing which timber to choose
- Concerns about procurement risks and compliance with regulations
- Inability to explain environmental considerations and carbon sequestration amounts
still exist.
Through this program selection, the company aims to advance timber distribution and proposal operations using the latest AI technology and create new business opportunities.
Specifically, the company will analyze accumulated timber product data, quotations, and information on past quotation processes using the latest AI platforms and managed services provided by Google Cloud™ to streamline quotation creation and timber product selection in timber coordination.
This will improve the accuracy and speed of proposals and reduce the man-hours required for quotation confirmation with partner companies.
Furthermore, by analyzing service usage data from services such as AI Adviser provided by the company, Shin-Mirai will understand the needs of designers and architects and return that knowledge to lumber mills and suppliers, thereby enhancing demand-supply matching.
Moreover, by leveraging the community and latest technological trends gained from this program, the company aims to create mid- to long-term business ideas in anticipation of AI evolution, striving to create new value in timber distribution and forestry.
