Kakiyasu Honten Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture; President and CEO: Yasumasa Akatsuka), a long-established meat shop with over 150 years of history since its founding in 1871 (Meiji 4) as a beef hot pot restaurant, is launching a new rich and luxurious treat—'Pistachio Chocolate Daifuku'—under its wagashi brand 'Kofukudo'. This limited-time product will be available nationwide at 'Kofukudo' stores (※) from July 1 (Wed) to July 7 (Tue).
In addition, a variety of seasonal summer-exclusive wagashi will also be available in stores. Please visit your nearest 'Kofukudo' location.

A new daifuku featuring the rich flavor and aromatic fragrance of pistachios, often referred to as the 'queen of nuts'.
The pistachio an filling is made in-house by blending pistachio paste into white bean paste, resulting in a rich, nutty aroma and smooth taste. This filling is wrapped in a soft, chewy mochi skin infused with chocolate—perfectly complementing the unique fragrance of pistachios—and then dusted with cocoa powder for a refined finish. For best results, chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes before eating to enjoy a cool, refreshing texture.
Despite its elegant cocoa-colored exterior, the daifuku reveals a vibrant green pistachio filling inside, making it a photogenic treat ideal for gifts or sharing with others.
