Founded in 1871 (Meiji 4) as the beef hot pot restaurant "Kakiyasu". Starting with the meat business, the company expanded into the delicatessen business such as "Kakiyasu Dining" centered in department stores, and the tsukudani (food boiled in soy sauce) business. In the Japanese confectionery business, it expanded "Kofukudo" nationwide, growing into a comprehensive food company that covers eating at home, prepared food, and eating out. Listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2019. In June 2021, the restaurant business was spun off and KH Food Service Co., Ltd. was established as a subsidiary. Transitioned to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in 2022.
