Since its founding in the late Edo period, Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei has continued its business through the changing times from Edo to Tokyo. This time, the main store will relocate and establish a new base in Ginza 3-chome, Chuo-ku, grand opening on May 7, 2026, coinciding with 'Flour Day'.
Previously, the old main store, operating as 'MATSUZAKI SHOTEN,' offered products and experiences beyond just senbei.
With this relocation, we will further develop these initiatives, gently separating Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei and MATSUZAKI SHOTEN as both brands and spaces. The new store will be equipped with a salon function where people can gather and casually interact.

About Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei | Matsuzaki Shoten Co., Ltd.
A long-established senbei shop founded in Bunka 1 (1804) at Shiba Aorizaka. The store moved to Ginza in Keio 1 (1865), and has continued for over 220 years. Our signature product, carefully baked wheat senbei made with plenty of eggs, has been loved across generations.
Background of the Relocation
The old main store, which had been operating in Higashi-Ginza since 2021, was decided to be rebuilt due to factors such as the aging of the building and rising construction costs.
Consequently, the store will be relocated.
The new location is in 3-chome along the same Kobikicho-dori.
The new main store is located about a 1-minute walk from the old main store.
We want to continue welcoming our existing customers without change.
With this in mind, we decided to take a new step in the same Higashi-Ginza area.
Features of the New Store
The new store will offer a wide variety of flavors, from the wheat senbei inherited since its founding, to Soka senbei, arare, and okaki, all in one place.
In the back of the store, there will be a bar space equipped with a kitchen, named MATSUZAKI SHOTEN, where people can foster casual interactions through various events.
We propose a new form of store that is not just for buying sweets, but also a place to spend time.

Concept
Our goal is to create a place where a store focused on ease of shopping and a salon where new experiences are born are co-located, each with its own role.
In the store, we have created an environment where both existing and first-time customers can easily and comfortably engage with our products.
And beyond that, we have set up a salon where new encounters and discoveries can be born through events and conversations.
We hope that it will open up to the city as a 'gathering place' where tradition and innovation gently resonate, and people can interact.

The decision to relocate to Higashi-Ginza in 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, held great significance for both me and the company.
I feel that choice was not a mistake.
On the other hand, due to unavoidable circumstances such as the aging of the building and rising construction costs, we have once again decided to relocate.
To all who have loved Matsuzaki Senbei and cherished MATSUZAKI SHOTEN in this Higashi-Ginza, Kobikicho location, we want you to continue visiting us as much as possible.
With that in mind, we were able to establish a new store just a 1-minute walk from the old main store.
With gratitude to everyone who has supported us so far, we will continue to deliver unchanging taste and new encounters.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming everyone to our new location.
