On June 30, 2026 (Tue), the SWANTILE Group, which oversees Nitto Ceramics Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture, Representative Director: Yukimasa Wako) and others, began selling new products manufactured on Japan's first large-format inkjet tile production line.

Until now, many of the large-format tiles, primarily 600mm square (approx. 60cm x 60cm), distributed in the domestic market were imported from overseas. Through many years of capital investment and technological development, our company has established a domestic production system and launched the next-generation production line in 2026. We are achieving high quality, sophisticated design, and stable supply, while also working to reduce environmental impact.

The new line incorporates a 3,800t press and the latest digital inkjet glazing technology, enabling the production of large-format tiles up to 1,200 x 600mm square (approx. 120cm x 60cm). Furthermore, it has a production capacity of approximately 1,600 square meters per 24 hours, realizing a stable supply system that can meet expanding demand. With realistic 3D glazing technology that creates a sense of depth, we faithfully reproduce the texture and appearance of natural stone, achieving unprecedented design sophistication.

Our company also promotes sustainable manufacturing. By introducing high-efficiency kilns, reusing waste heat, and utilizing solar power generation facilities, we are promoting the reduction of CO2 emissions in the manufacturing process. Furthermore, domestic production reduces the environmental impact of transportation and contributes to decarbonization across the entire supply chain.

The strengths of domestic production also lie in quality and supply stability. In addition to ensuring high dimensional accuracy and traceability through strict quality control, we achieve stable supply that is less affected by exchange rate fluctuations and international logistics. We are also capable of rapid product development and flexible responses to meet customer needs.

The "Bellissimo Stone," "Limestone," "Terrana," and "Quartza" released this time are all 600mm square large-format tile series. Bellissimo Stone features a grip finish with high anti-slip performance. Limestone, Terrana, and Quartza are available in two types: a matte finish suitable for interior spaces and a grip finish with the anti-slip performance required for outdoor spaces, enabling a wide range of applications for homes and commercial facilities.
