Japan Search Fund to Co-Host "Search Fund Summit 2026" with The Financial Affairs Research Institute

(hereinafter "J-Search" / Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / Representative Director and President: Masahiko Ohtsuki / https://j-search.co.jp), will co-host the "Search Fund Summit 2026" with The Financial Affairs Research Institute (Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo / Chairman: Kazuhiro Kato) starting at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 20.

**[Purpose of J-Search Search Fund Summit 2026]**

A search fund is an investment mechanism where an individual aspiring to be a business owner (searcher) seeks out target companies for investment and personally engages in the management of the successor company. In recent years, its importance has been steadily increasing from the perspectives of regional revitalization and entrepreneur support. This event will explore new possibilities for business succession and regional revitalization through search funds.

For the keynote speech in Part 1, we will welcome Mr. Koji Ono, Director of the Second Banking Division, Supervision Bureau, Financial Services Agency. In addition, Masahiko Ohtsuki, Representative Director and President of J-Search, will give a lecture titled "Regional Revitalization through Search Funds in Collaboration with Regional Financial Institutions," introducing J-Search's initiatives to establish and operate search funds that meet regional needs through collaboration with regional financial institutions.

In Part 2, a panel discussion will be held titled "The Role of Financial Institutions in the Era of Grand Business Succession in Regions ~Utilizing Search Funds for Regional Revitalization and the Direction Financial Institutions Should Aim For~." We will welcome Mr. Yoshihisa Kasahara, Representative Director and President of Kyushu Financial Group Co., Ltd., and Mr. Naoki Ikeda, Representative Director and President of Juroku Financial Group Co., Ltd. Taku Miyake, Representative Director and President of our company, will serve as the facilitator.
