The battery storage business, centered on securing power during grid outages due to disasters, responding to output curtailment of solar power generation, and adjusting generation fluctuations, has transformed into a "battery storage power plant business" through market utilization. This is because products for the "supply-demand adjustment market" have become available, and especially in the short-term primary adjustment power market, contracts have continued at the upper limit price, leading to a series of cases where battery revenue is secured primarily through market transactions.

In the grid-scale battery storage business, two capabilities are required: "trading capability" and "financial strength."

This lecture will explain the key points of this revenue structure and business structure. It will also explain the rise of battery storage funds derived from this business structure. Furthermore, participating companies will be classified according to their characteristics, and individual cases will be analyzed.

Since this business is also influenced by grid connection and regulatory trends, the lecture will also explain the grid situation and regulatory outlook.

Finally, it will elaborate on community-contributing business models that utilize EVs as battery storage.
