Kyouiku Academy Inc. (Location: Yokohama, Kanagawa, CEO: Aya Mochizuki), operating as a correspondence high school support school, will open 'KA International Yokohama,' a correspondence high school specialized in studying abroad in Korea, in April 2027, establishing the new 'Korea GLOBAL Course.' Backed by 20 years of teaching experience, Kyouiku Academy is fully prepared to deliver this educational program that turns 'passion into your strongest weapon.'

■ Background of Opening

In recent years, Korean culture, such as K-POP, Korean dramas, and Korean cosmetics, has garnered immense support from Japanese youth. There is a rapid increase in middle and high school students with dreams like "I want to go to a Korean university" or "I want to work in Korea."
On the other hand, many students hesitate to take the first step due to anxieties such as:

"I don't know where to start."
"I am not confident in my language skills."
"But I definitely want to get a Japanese high school diploma."

That is exactly why KA International Yokohama has prepared an environment where students can balance "challenging themselves with what they love" through Korea and "graduating high school properly."

■ Message on Opening (CEO Comment)

Aya Mochizuki, CEO, Kyouiku Academy Inc.

Setting the stage for 'small miracles' in Korea.
There is not a single student who didn't hesitate when choosing a correspondence high school. Yet, some students say, "Coming here finally allowed me to be myself." Those words are the reason we continue this work.
Last year, I visited Korea with 10 students. For most, it was their first time abroad. There were many moments where they had no choice but to challenge themselves despite their anxieties, and every time, a "small miracle" was born. "I tried my best, and I could do it"—passion moves people, and beyond that movement, a miracle unique to that child is born. Witnessing that moment, I decided to create this course.

We are starting a Korea-specialized course to change "Liking Korea = Hobby" into "Liking Korea = My Future"!

■ 3 Features of the 'Korea GLOBAL Course'

Overview of Korea GLOBAL Course
Through intensive study abroad programs lasting 2 weeks to 3 months a year, this course fosters global perspectives and language skills, aiming for university entrance both domestically and internationally. Outside the study abroad period, students commute to the Yokohama West Exit Campus 5 days a week.

Learning Content
The core is language learning 5 days a week and personalized career guidance, starting Korean and English from zero. Classes centered around games and conversation by native teachers deepen not only language skills but also cultural understanding.
While in high school, students study at language schools affiliated with local universities and participate in joint projects with local high school students.
There are also short-term study abroad programs at Seokyeong University and Kyung Hee University along the way.

Basic Information on Study Abroad
The destination is Korea, and the duration is 2 weeks to 3 months (timing is negotiable).
Accommodation is homestay or dormitory. No language requirements; even from zero start, you can learn from the basics.
(*For long-term study abroad of 3 months or more, a student visa is required.)

Support Cost

Simultaneous Acquisition of a Japanese High School Diploma
"Aiming for Korea, but firmly supporting the acquisition of a Japanese high school diploma."
This is one of the major features of KA International Yokohama. By utilizing the correspondence education system, students can acquire a Japanese high school diploma in parallel while preparing for studying in Korea and learning languages. Pursuing dreams while expanding future options. We are creating an environment where you don't have to give up either.

Aiming for Admission to Top Korean Universities
The goal of KA International's Korea GLOBAL Course is admission to the top Korean university group "SKY" and others.

Seoul National University
Korea University
Yonsei University

—We aim for these 3 schools, also known as the Korean equivalent of "Tokyo University, Waseda, and Keio," as well as other universities in Seoul and Busan, in 3 years starting from zero language skills.
