(Location: Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Aya Mochizuki), as a correspondence high school support institution, will open KA International Yokohama, a correspondence high school specializing in studying abroad in Korea, and establish a new "Korea GLOBAL Course" in April 2027. ■ Background of the Opening

In recent years, Korean culture, such as K-POP, K-dramas, and Korean cosmetics, has gained immense support from young people in Japan, leading to a rapid increase in junior and senior high school students who dream of "going to a Korean university" or "working in Korea." However, many students hesitate to take the first step due to anxieties such as:

"I don't know where to start."

"I'm not confident in my language skills."

"I definitely want to get a Japanese high school diploma."

That's why KA International Yokohama has created an environment where students can pursue their passion for Korea and achieve their goal of graduating from high school.

"A Small Miracle" Stage in Korea

Not a single student who chose a correspondence high school was without hesitation. Yet, there are students who say, "I finally feel like myself after coming here." Those words are why we continue this work.

Last year, 10 students visited Korea. Most of them were experiencing overseas travel for the first time. There were many situations where they had no choice but to challenge themselves despite their anxieties, and each time, "small miracles" were born. "If I work hard, I can do it too" — the feeling of love moves people, and where they move, their own unique miracles are born. Seeing that moment, I decided to create this course.

We are starting a course specialized in Korea to transform "liking Korea = hobby" into "liking Korea = my future"!

■ Three Features of the "Korea GLOBAL Course"

Korea GLOBAL Course Overview

This course aims to develop a global perspective and language skills through an intensive study abroad program of 2 weeks to 3 months per year, with the goal of advancing to universities both domestically and internationally. Outside of the study abroad period, students attend the Yokohama West Exit Campus five days a week.

Curriculum

The core of the curriculum is five days a week of language study and individual career guidance. Korean and English can be started from scratch. Classes centered on games and conversation by native instructors deepen not only language skills but also cultural understanding.

High school students will study at language schools affiliated with local universities and participate in joint projects with local high school students. There will also be short-term study abroad programs at Seokyeong University and Kyung Hee University.

Basic Study Abroad Information

The destination is Korea, and the duration is 2 weeks to 3 months (timing is negotiable).

Accommodation is homestay or dormitory. No language requirements; students can learn from scratch. (*A student visa is required for long-term study abroad of 3 months or more.)

Support Fee

869,500 yen/year. Separate correspondence high school fees and study abroad expenses apply.

Course Schedule

Simultaneously obtain a Japanese high school diploma

"Even if the goal is Korea, we firmly support obtaining a Japanese high school diploma."

This is one of the major features of KA International Yokohama. By utilizing the system of correspondence education, students can prepare for studying abroad in Korea and learn languages while simultaneously obtaining a Japanese high school diploma. This environment allows students to pursue their dreams and expand their future options without giving up either.
