Heisei Co., Ltd. (Mizuma-gun, Oki-machi, Fukuoka Prefecture; Representative Director: Takako Zeita) will begin selling the storage furniture "CASSETTE" from June 1, 2026.

It is a storage system with a variable structure that allows shelves and drawers to be freely arranged, enabling it to continuously adapt to changes in lifestyle. This product is our new initiative, embodying the concept of "a life tidied with excitement."

Background of Development We began this development from the concept of "a life tidied with excitement." While continuing manufacturing primarily for OEM for a long time, one question remained: Is furniture truly close to people's lives? Being able to tidy up effortlessly. Naturally becoming organized. We believed that only when both of these are achieved does life become comfortable.

Concept Realization Starting from this concept, our company participated in the "Product Planning Capability Enhancement Support Project -NIKAWA-" conducted by the Fukuoka Prefectural Industrial Technology Center, Interior Research Institute. During the specification creation phase, we concretized the concept. We incorporated direction from the Interior Research Institute and Kyushu Sangyo University Faculty of Art and Design, as well as posted data and analysis provided by RoomClip Lifestyle Research Institute, to understand the realities of daily life. We also engaged with the actual voices of child-rearing households in discussion groups. Abstract words gradually transformed into tangible realities.

Co-creation with Designers Through a subsequent designer recruitment, we met IKASAS DESIGN Co., Ltd. They proposed "storage that can change its configuration according to life while maintaining design aesthetics." A structure that is not fixed, but continuously adapts its use according to the user's changes. When we saw that proposal, we felt that "our ideas had taken shape." It can be used as a single box, and combinations can be freely made with detachable rails.

About the Product After repeated prototyping and verification, "CASSETTE" was completed. It is designed as storage that re-evaluates its configuration according to life and is intended for long-term use. This product is a new offering from the ORVIA storage furniture brand. Designer's Comment "CASSETTE" was born under the concept of "designing storage." Existing storage furniture has a fixed drawer configuration, which limits what can be stored and how it can be used. "CASSETTE" allows each user to creatively store and display various items of different uses and shapes beautifully. Additionally, it is designed so that uses can be separated by color, or users can be separated, and even when randomly placed, a tidy appearance can be achieved. Heisei Co., Ltd., as the manufacturer, took on the challenge of new manufacturing. For example, by adopting resin detachable rails instead of the metal slide rails typically used for drawers, they achieved high flexibility and cost reduction. Furthermore, the common problem of "difficulty in retrieving items at the back" in storage was resolved by making the drawers themselves lightweight and allowing them to be fully pulled out and carried as a single unit. We hope that this new form of storage, completed with the user's creativity, will help organize daily life and provide an opportunity to enjoy living.
