Koito Manufacturing Rebuilds Singles Dormitory in Shizuoka

Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) announces the completion of the rebuilding of its singles dormitory "Chiyoda-ryo" (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City) in the Shizuoka area, aimed at further enhancing employee welfare. Construction was completed in February 2026, with residents moving in from March 23. The Chiyoda-ryo had aged 39 years, prompting the renovation to address deterioration and upgrade to the latest facilities. Room size has been expanded to approximately three times the previous area, and each private room now includes its own bathroom facilities, ensuring ample privacy and a comfortable living environment. Convenience improvements include parcel delivery lockers, while the building's structural performance has been upgraded in terms of earthquake resistance, thermal insulation, and soundproofing. A solar power generation and battery storage system has also been installed, making the building both environmentally conscious and resilient in the event of disasters. Additionally, a spacious lounge has been provided as a place for employees to communicate with one another, supporting staff growth both professionally and personally.
